This is the story of three Grade 5 school kids who decide to form a club to solve mysteries after hearing a career day presentation by a city detective. The story is based in Brockville, Ontario, Canada so includes a little local geography and some Canadian history. An older boy in Grade 6 tries to bully them at every turn but is rehabilitated when accepted as a member of the club. Mary, the first President of the club, calls a meeting to get everything organized. The boys quickly learn how to submit motions (mostly by agreeing to Mary's leadership) and understand the reasons for following Robert's Rules for meetings. The story includes a fishing adventure, an introduction to the game of golf and discussions with a retired sea captain about mysteries of the sea. Finally, the young detectives get an assignment requiring investigation and an undercover lemonade stand.
The best of GOLF humor from America's funniest sporting cartoonist. Cartoonist, Robert Tiritilli understands "the ins and outs" of the golf world. This former Italian Mafia hit man has teamed with Charles Hellman, a bookie and ex-caddie, to find more ways to blend these one-panel cartoons with clever captions. They bring out the "FUNNY" in sports. The wit and satire of these cartoons and their absurdities come to life from Tiritilli's pen. His outrageous graphics poke fun at players, equipment and golf terms with equal gusto. Tiritilli has freelanced and lampooned for more years than he cares to admit...
